One of the most powerful promotion strategies is embedding each customer's unique referral link in every email or communication they receive from you. This turns every newsletter, onboarding email, invoice, and check-in into a passive referral touchpoint.

How to set it up

Step 1: Sync your contacts. Use the CRM sync (HubSpot, Salesforce) or Stripe sync to enrol your customers as referrers in Referral Factory. Each contact is assigned a unique referral link.
Step 2: Map the return field. During the sync setup, map the Referral Link return field to a custom contact property in your CRM or inside Stripe as metadata. This writes each person's unique referral link directly into their CRM record or Stripe customer record.
Step 3: Include the link in your outbound templates. In your CRM's email editor, add the referral link field as a personalisation variable in your email templates. Every email sent from that template will automatically include the recipient's personal referral link. In Stripe, you could add the metadata into invoices to provide unique referral links.
For example, in HubSpot: add a personalisation token for your custom "Referral Link" contact property to the footer of every marketing email. Every customer who receives that email sees their own unique link — not a generic link to your program.
