Referral Factory can keep an offline or in-person referral associated with the right referrer when the chosen method carries that referrer’s identity.

How does Referral Factory know who made an offline referral?

The attribution comes from the method or context used. A personal QR code carries the Referrer’s unique referral link. A Lead Submission Form uses the Referrer’s unique form URL or portal context. A direct submission inside a logged-in product uses the signed-in customer identity passed through the installed experience. A Stripe promo code can connect later redemption to the Referrer when the code flow is configured, even if the recommendation started offline.

How are QR-code referrals tracked?

Each referrer’s QR code is connected to that referrer’s unique referral link. When someone scans the code and completes the campaign action, Referral Factory can associate the resulting lead with the referrer connected to the code. For QR setup, wallet use, and testing, see the in-person QR referral guide.

How are direct offline Leads tracked?

Each referrer has a unique Lead Submission Form URL. When the referrer uses that URL to submit a contact’s details, Referral Factory uses the URL to attach the lead to the correct referrer. Referrers can also open the form from a Submit Leads Button in the Branded Referrer Portal.

Can Promo Codes preserve attribution?

Yes. A customer can tell or send a friend their unique promo code. The friend may later use that code during checkout. The recommendation may have started offline or in person, while the eventual conversion happens online through the configured Stripe promo-code flow. The code is associated with the Referrer and provides another way to connect the resulting activity back to them. Not every promo-code referral is offline; the checkout may still happen online.

What does Referral Factory record after submission?

The referred person is recorded in the campaign’s Leads section with the referrer attribution attached. The lead may initially show as Pending and can later become Qualified when the campaign’s qualification conditions are met. The Leads view includes a Referred By field so the business can check which referrer is attached to the lead.

Can offline referrals still be Qualified and rewarded?

Yes. When the offline referral is recorded as a lead and attributed to the correct referrer, it can follow the campaign’s configured qualification and reward process. The outcome depends on the campaign’s rules.

What should I check if the attribution is wrong or missing?

For full Lead Submission Form setup instructions, see the Lead Submission Form setup guide. For the complete QR workflow, see the in-person QR referral guide.
  • For a QR referral, confirm that the customer used the intended referrer’s personal QR code.
  • For a direct lead, confirm that the referrer used their own unique Lead Submission Form URL or portal button.
  • For an in-product submission, confirm that the logged-in environment identified the correct customer when the referral experience opened.
  • Open the campaign’s Leads section and check the Referred By field and current status.
