What can I automate with Zapier?

Referral Factory can trigger a Zap when something happens in a campaign, or Zapier can send an action into Referral Factory after an event happens in another app.
  • Create a referrer in Referral Factory when a person is added in another app.
  • Send new Referral Factory leads or referrers to a CRM or another business tool.
  • Update an existing CRM record with referral information such as a unique referral link.
  • Qualify a lead in Referral Factory after a successful event is recorded elsewhere.
  • Continue a workflow after a Referral Factory reward is issued.

What do I need before I create a Zap?

You need a Referral Factory campaign, a Zapier account, access to the app you want to connect and the fields or records required by both apps.
In Zapier, search for Referral Factory, connect the account and then choose whether Referral Factory is the trigger or the action.

Which identifiers can Zapier use?

When qualifying a lead, Zapier can identify the person by email address, Referral Factory referral code or coupon code. If you use email, select the correct Referral Factory campaign because the same email can appear in more than one campaign.
The lead must already exist in Referral Factory before a qualification action can find and update it.

Which detailed guide should I use?

What should I check when a Zap fails?

Open Zap History and check which step failed. Confirm the correct campaign, trigger, app connections, required fields, identifier and destination record type.
For Reward Issued, remember that the Zap runs when a reward is actually issued, not merely when it becomes due.
