How Can I Mark a Lead as Converted Using the API?

Tell Referral Factory that a lead converted by sending a qualification request for the matching existing lead.

What does converted mean in Referral Factory?

Converted means the lead reached the business success condition. The API action is called qualification, and the resulting Referral Factory status is Qualified.
Use this when the conversion happens in your own application or another system that does not send the result through a native Referral Factory integration.

Which endpoint records the conversion?

Send a PUT request to the currently documented endpoint https://api.referral-factory.com/api/v2/users/qualification using Bearer authentication and a JSON body.
Always confirm the endpoint in the current API documentation before implementing it in production.

How do I identify and qualify the correct lead?

Identify the lead using its Referral Factory ID, referral code, or email address together with the Campaign ID. Set qualified to true to mark the lead Qualified or false to return it to Pending.
If you identify by email, include the Campaign ID because the same email can appear in different campaigns.

What happens after the request succeeds?

Referral Factory changes the lead to Qualified and keeps its existing referrer attribution. Active campaign reward rules are evaluated separately.
Qualification does not by itself prove that a reward was issued or paid.

How do I test and troubleshoot qualification?

Create a test lead, record its real identifier and Campaign ID, trigger the test conversion and send the qualification request. Confirm the lead changes from Pending to Qualified.
If the lead stays Pending, verify that it already exists, the identifier points to the correct lead, the Campaign ID is correct when required, and the method, endpoint, Bearer header and JSON body match the documentation.
