FAQ: What Intercom permissions does Referral Factory need?

When you connect Intercom to Referral Factory, you’ll be asked to authorize the following permissions on Intercom’s OAuth page:

When you connect Intercom to Referral Factory, you’ll be asked to authorize the following permissions on Intercom’s OAuth page:
  • People — View and manage users and leads. Required to create and update contacts when referrals come in.
  • Companies — View and manage companies. Used to associate contacts with their company records.
  • Tags — View and manage people, company, and conversation tags. Allows tagging of referred contacts.
  • Workspace counts — View numerical counts of your workspace data. Used to display sync information.
  • Data attributes — Manage your customer and company attributes. Required for field mapping and qualification rules that monitor attribute changes.

Can I revoke access later?

Yes. You can revoke Referral Factory’s access at any time from your Intercom account settings under authorized apps. You can also disconnect from within Referral Factory via Campaign Settings → Integrations and API → CRM tab → Disconnect.
