Can Customers Refer Someone Without Sharing a Link?

Yes. Customers can use a Lead Submission Form, a personal QR code, direct submission in a supported logged-in product experience, or a configured Stripe promo-code flow instead of sending someone a referral link in the usual way.

Use the Lead Submission Form for a direct introduction

The referrer enters the contact’s details through their unique Lead Submission Form URL or a Submit Leads Button in the Branded Referrer Portal. The referred person does not need to click a link or complete the first submission themselves. Referral Factory records the lead against the referrer associated with the form.

Use a QR code for an in-person referral

The referrer shows a personal QR code and the other person scans it with a phone. The QR code is connected to the referrer’s unique referral link, so the referred person does not need to type or receive the link manually. They still complete the campaign action on the destination connected to the scan.

Use direct submission in a supported logged-in product experience

Some logged-in product experiences support direct submission through a configured referral method such as the Sticky Bar’s built-in referral form. The customer enters the referred person’s details, and the signed-in customer context supplies the attribution. Availability depends on the method installed in the product.

Use a promo code when the campaign supports it

When Stripe promo codes are configured, the referrer-facing Dashboard can show a unique promo code. The referrer can share that code instead of a link. The code’s generation, redemption, and attribution rules depend on the campaign’s Stripe configuration and should be checked in the dedicated promo-code documentation.

How do these methods differ?

  • Lead Submission Form: the referrer supplies the referred person’s details directly.
  • QR code: the referred person scans a personal code and completes the campaign action themselves.
  • Direct logged-in submission: the customer enters the referred person’s details inside a supported logged-in website or product, and the customer identity supplies the attribution.
  • Promo code: the referrer shares a configured code-based offer instead of a link.

Can these referrals still be qualified and rewarded?

A referral that is recorded as a lead and associated with the correct referrer can follow the campaign’s configured qualification and reward process. Whether it becomes Qualified and whether a reward is issued depends on the campaign rules and on the method used. Promo-code redemption behavior should be confirmed from the campaign’s Stripe configuration.

Which method should I choose?

Choose the Lead Submission Form when the referrer already knows the contact’s details. Choose a QR code for in-person conversations. Choose direct logged-in submission when customers should enter a referred person’s details inside a supported logged-in website or product. Choose a promo code when the campaign is designed around Stripe promo-code redemption.
