Sync existing Monday.com contacts into a campaign as referrers
If people already exist in Monday.com, you can add them to a Referral Factory campaign as referrers instead of asking each person to register again. The sync flow lets you choose the source board and group, map name and email, and send the resulting referral information back to Monday.com.
Can I give my existing Monday.com contacts their own referral links?
Yes. In the campaign, open Referrers, choose Add Referrers and then Sync.
Before you start
If you are syncing a large number of contacts, allow time for the sync to finish before checking the result.
- Connect Monday.com under Integrations and API.
- Choose the Referral Factory campaign.
- Make sure the source board has the contact information you want to map.
How do I add existing Monday.com contacts as referrers?
Step 1
Open the campaign and select Referrers.
Step 2
Select Add Referrers, then Sync.
Step 3
Choose the Monday.com board and continue through Map to RF, Map to Monday and Confirm.
Step 4
Review the mappings before confirming the sync.
How do I choose which Monday.com board and group to use?
In Board, choose the board with the contacts. Leave Group set to All groups or choose a specific group if only part of the board should be added.
How do I map Monday.com fields to Referral Factory?
In Map to RF, map the Monday.com name and email fields to the matching Referral Factory fields shown in the setup screen.
How do I send each referrer’s referral link and details back to Monday.com?
In Map to Monday, choose the Monday columns where Referral Factory should write the referrer information. Referral Link is required in the current flow. The screen also offers optional fields such as Submission Form Link, Referrals Count, Converted Referrals Count and Promo Code when available for the selected board.
What happens after the contacts are added as referrers?
The selected contacts are added to the campaign as referrers. Referral Factory creates their referral information and can write it into the Monday columns you selected.
Where can each referrer find their referral link?
If the campaign uses referral links, each referrer can find their own link in the campaign’s referrer experience. You can also map it to Monday.com for your team to share.
How do I test that the contacts received their referral links?
Step 1
Sync one or two dummy contacts first.
Step 2
Check that they appear under Referrers in the correct campaign.
Step 3
Check the referrer experience or the mapped Monday columns for the expected referral information.
Step 4
Run the remaining sync only after the test is correct.
