Qualification is the process of marking a referral as successful — confirming that the referred person actually became a customer, not just a lead.
When someone clicks a referral link and fills in the form, they become a Pending lead. Pending means Referral Factory has captured them but has not yet confirmed they converted. Qualification is what moves them from Pending to Qualified.
The reason qualification exists is fraud prevention. Without it, any business would be vulnerable to people referring fake or recycled contacts just to earn rewards. Qualification ensures you only pay rewards when a referral results in actual revenue — when the referred person makes a payment, reaches a certain stage in your CRM, or meets whatever conversion criteria you define.
You set the qualification rule. Referral Factory monitors for it and triggers the reward automatically when the condition is met.
