Referral links are generated automatically the moment a referrer is added to your campaign. You do not need to create them manually.
Referral links should usually be the main sharing path. If your campaign also uses referral codes, use them as the secondary path for verbal, offline, checkout, form, or sales-assisted referrals.
Step 1: Add your customers as referrers
Before anyone can have a referral link, they need to be enrolled in your campaign as a referrer. You can do this in several ways:
- CSV upload — export your customer list and upload it
- CRM sync — pull contacts directly from HubSpot, Salesforce, or Stripe
- Manual add — add individuals one at a time
- API — programmatically enrol referrers at scale
Step 2: Find and share referral links
Once added, each referrer's unique link is visible in the Referral Link column of the Referrers tab.
If referral codes are enabled for your campaign, keep the link as the primary asset and share the code alongside it for situations where a code is easier to use. You can share links and codes with referrers in several ways:
- Email them directly — use Referral Factory's built-in email tools to send each referrer their personalised link
- Sync to CRM — push referral links back into your HubSpot, Intercom or Salesforce contacts so every outbound email can include the link automatically
- Let referrers find their own link — point them to the Branded Referrer Portal, where they can log in and access their link any time
