A referral program does not generate referrals on its own. Your customers need to know it exists, understand what they get for participating, and be reminded about it regularly. If you launched your program and waited for referrals to appear without actively telling people about it, that is the problem.
Check these things:
The direct correlation is simple: the more people you ask, the more referrals you get. Start by making sure every existing customer knows about your program.
  • Have your referrers received their referral links? Check that the Welcome Email is enabled and that your referrers have been added correctly. If they never received their link, they can't share it.
  • Have you actively promoted the program? Did you send an email to your customer base announcing it? Do you have a pop-up, sticky bar, or widget live in your product?
  • Is your reward compelling enough? If the reward feels low-value or unclear, customers won't feel motivated to refer. Review your reward level and messaging.
  • Is the referral link page clear about the offer? If a referred friend lands on a page that doesn't clearly explain what they get, they won't fill in the form.
