Verification On Joining Campaign is an optional security feature that verifies a participant's email address when they fill out a form in your referral program.

How it works

When enabled, any participant — whether a referrer joining through the Branded Referrer Portal or a lead submitting their details via a referral link — will receive an email containing a short verification code after submitting the form. They must enter this code to complete their sign-up.
This confirms that the email address they entered is real and belongs to them.

Why use it

  • Reduces fake sign-ups — prevents people from entering invalid or disposable email addresses.
  • Improves data quality — every referrer and lead in your campaign has a verified email.
  • Strengthens fraud prevention — makes it harder for someone to generate fake referrals using made-up email addresses.

How to enable it

  • Go to Campaign Settings in the sidebar.
  • Scroll down to Advanced Settings.
  • Expand Verification On Joining Campaign.
  • Enable the toggle.
