How to fix it
- Search for the user by email in Salesforce.
- Check whether the Lead record has been converted to a Contact.
- If it has, the original Lead can no longer be updated via the API.
How to prevent it
- Ensure Leads are not converted before the referral process completes.
- If your sales team regularly converts Leads quickly, consider configuring Referral Factory to create Contacts instead of Leads in your integration settings.
