Can I give existing Zoho Leads and Contacts their own referral links?
Yes. You can add existing Zoho Leads or Contacts to Referral Factory as referrers. Referral Factory can then return referral information such as a referral link where that field is available for the campaign.
Before you start
If Zoho is not connected, open Integrations & API, select CRM, choose Zoho, select the correct Zoho region and complete the authorisation. Then open the campaign you want to use.
- Decide whether you want a one-time sync or an ongoing sync.
- Check that the Zoho records contain the information required by the fields you plan to map.
How do I start an existing-record sync?
Step 1
Open the campaign in Referral Factory and go to Referrers.
Step 2
Select Add Referrers, then choose Sync.
Step 3
Select Zoho as the source.
Step 4
Choose the Zoho source you want to use and continue to field mapping.
How do I choose between Zoho Leads, Zoho Contacts and a campaign source?
The Zoho sync flow lets you choose Sync Leads, Sync Contacts or Sync from Campaign. Use the source that contains the people you want to turn into referrers. The records available from a campaign source depend on the data available in that Zoho account.
How do I map Zoho fields to Referral Factory?
Match each Zoho field to the Referral Factory field that should receive it. The current flow shows Zoho First Name mapped to Referral Factory First Name and Zoho Email mapped to Referral Factory Email. Complete every field marked as required before continuing.
How do I send referral information back to Zoho?
Use the return-field mapping step to choose which Referral Factory information should be written back to Zoho. Available choices can include Referral Link, Submission Form Link, Referrals Count, Converted Referrals Count and Promo Code, depending on the campaign.
Can the sync run automatically?
Yes. Choose One-time sync if you only want to import the selected records now. Choose Ongoing sync if new or changed records should continue to be reflected after the initial sync.
Are synced people notified automatically?
Synced people are only notified when Notify Users is enabled. Leave it off when you are preparing the records without notifying them.
Can I generate promo codes when I sync people?
Where the campaign supports promo codes, the confirmation step includes Generate promo codes on sync. Turn it on when each synced referrer should receive a promo code as part of the import.
What happens if a person is already a referrer?
If the person already exists as a referrer in Referral Factory, the existing-record sync skips that record instead of creating a duplicate.
How do I confirm the sync worked?
Step 1
Review the confirmation screen and start the sync.
Step 2
Open the referrers list after the sync has processed.
Step 3
Check that the expected person appears once and that the mapped information is present.
Step 4
If you enabled return fields, check the corresponding Zoho record for the returned referral information.
