Warranty

Introduction

The terms and conditions in this document describe and stipulate the provisions which govern and regulate the legal relationship between Sunking products/service providers and the user. These terms and conditions apply to all Sunking products. You should read these terms carefully and reach out to customer care if you have questions about their interpretation of their meaning.

Quality Statement

Sunking guarantees that on every purchase, the product will be delivered in new condition, in its original packaging, free of defects in material and workmanship for a limited warranty period of two (2) years starting on the date of the invoice which is to be presented to the seller. Our Production units comply with ISO 140001 and QS 9000 certifications and undergo multiple rigorous quality checks at different stages.

Warranty

The warranty is only applicable to the Buyer purchasing the products directly from the Seller. If the Seller (Retailer / Partner) determines a customer’s product is defective, he/she will replace the Product. A refund can be offered if the customer is no longer interested in the products however this request must be within a stipulated timeline from the date of purchase. This limited warranty will not apply to loss or damage to the Product caused by negligence; abuse; misuse; mishandling; improper installation, storage, or maintenance; damage due to fire or acts of God; vandalism; civil disturbances; improper power supply; alteration; accident; failure to follow installation, operating, maintenance or environmental instructions prescribed by the seller; or improper service of the product performed by an unauthorized technician.

Warrant Service

The provision of warranty service shall not renew the original warranty period applicable to the serviced product. Greenlight Planet reserves the right to utilize new, refurbished, or repaired products and parts, for the warranty replacement/repair process. Such products or parts shall be comparable in function and performance to the original product or parts.

 Prerequisite:

    1. Warranty service is strictly confined to the first purchaser of the product only.
    2. Proof-of-purchase is required for a complete warranty claim. The customer must provide the following details; Identification details of the product (Serial number, product code), date of purchase – Receipt of purchase.
    3. If the customer/partner is unable to provide the date of / proof of purchase, Sunking will consider the date of manufacture of the product.
    4. Detailed fault description and date of failure.

The time taken for repair/replacement shall not be excluded from the warranty period.

Sunking or its authorized service centre/service dealer, reserves the right to retain any part/s or component/s replaced at its discretion. Repaired / Refurbished products will be covered under the manufacturer’s warranty for a period of 90 days post service or for the remaining original warranty of the product; whichever is longer.

Costs

If the product is considered eligible for warranty services, Sunking will at full cost, cater to the replacement or repair of the product.

Shipping

Repair or replacement will be carried out through the Sunking Service Centre or its authorized service centre / Dealer. Shipping the product will be the customer’s responsibility. The collection of the product after repair or replacement shall be the customer’s responsibility.

 The extent of the limited warranty. The warranty stated herein shall not apply if:

    1. The product is not purchased from an authorized Sunking sales dealer.
    2. The product is not used according to instructions on the manual, as determined by an authorized service technician.
    3. Defects caused by improper use, as determined by an authorized service technician.
    4. The product becomes faulty as a result of certain conditions (for example: waterlogging, misuse, etc.)
    5. Modification or alterations of any nature made in the circuitry, as determined by an authorized service technician.
    6. The original product serial number is removed, erased or altered.
    7. Defects caused by acts beyond Greenlight Planet control or while in transit to the service centre or customers’ residence.
    8. Defects caused by household pets, rats, cockroaches, or any other animals or insects.
    9. Normal wear and tear.
